Latitude Wireless Inc. is a CDMA 1x Digital Cellular service provider that owns and maintains network infrastructure in 17 Yukon communities.

Latitude Wireless maintains roaming agreements with the other major CDMA cellular providers in Canada and the U.S. allowing for seamless use of Latitude Wireless service across most of North America.

In the Yukon, Northwestel Inc. and the Dakwakada Development Corporation are pleased to be working together through Latitude Wireless Inc. on the ongoing ownership, maintenance, delivery, and improvement of Latitude Wireless service.

Dakwakada Development Corporation is the business investment arm of the Champagne & Aishihik First Nations. In pursuit of a strategic goal to create economic wealth for the First Nation, the corporation focuses on investments in sound businesses with proven management teams. Its portfolio is currently composed of investments in the wireless communications, manufacturing, real estate and natural resource management sectors.

In the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, Latitude Wireless is owned and operated solely by Northwestel Inc.

Latitude Wireless continues to seek partnerships with local government and First Nation organizations in the desire to expand our service to more of Northern Canada’s remote communities.

Northwestel Inc. provides complete telecommunications solutions for the 110,000 residents of the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon and northern British Columbia. The company's operations span nearly 4 million square kilometres of the most remote and rugged areas of Canada. Northwestel is wholly owned by Bell Canada.
